City Livin' | NYC - The Highline
I remember the first time I visited the High Line, it was approximately after its first stage of reconstruction. I was so very stunned by the organic and raw characteristics it contained. The rail tracks were not yet concreted; the plants were still creeping. With the late evening sun rays, it was one of my best memories in this humble life. But within recent years, the Highline has already renovated (again) into a contemporary modern beast of the Lower West Side. It is indeed more modified but sadly, more flooded by tourists. I couldn't really say it has lost its original beauty but it is definitely not the same anymore. I enjoy it nonetheless, just can't take the first impression off my head. Such a mix feeling with this place.
